Dear Matt
On behalf of the members and guests who attended the Runcorn Probus Annual Lunch event at the Heath, Runcorn last Friday 28 March, may I express our appreciation of your work on the day.Members and guests were suitably amazed and astounded at the close-up table magic, in itself an unusual alternative to our usual entertainments, but the mind reading that followed it really did send them home happy, bewildered and with something to think and talk about for a long time to come.
“Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Café”!!!where on earth did that one come from?
You gave us an absolutely wonderful act and one which will stay in the minds of members and guests for years to come
Thank you once again for your input into our event

March 28th, 2025, was an absolute pleasure as I had the opportunity to perform for the wonderful members and guests of Runcorn Probus at their Annual Lunch event. From the moment I arrived at The Heath in Runcorn, I could sense the warm, welcoming atmosphere, and I knew it was going to be a fantastic afternoon.
Performing close-up magic at the tables was a joy. There’s something truly special about seeing the expressions of amazement up close—when a deck of cards transforms in their hands or a borrowed object defies the laws of physics. The guests were engaged, full of curiosity, and ready to embrace the impossible.
After dinner, I transitioned into my mind-reading performance, and the reactions were priceless. The gasps, the laughter, the moments of stunned silence—these are the moments that make performing so rewarding. One particular highlight was a thought I revealed—Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café! The reaction was unforgettable, and it’s these unexpected surprises that make each performance unique.
Hearing the kind words from Vice Chair Ernie Tarn and the enthusiastic feedback from the guests meant the world to me. Knowing that the show left people entertained, bewildered, and with plenty to talk about made the experience all the more rewarding.
A huge thank you to Runcorn Probus for having me. It was a privilege to share an afternoon of magic and mystery with such a fantastic group, and I hope our paths cross again for more unforgettable moments
